ਭਾਰਤੀ ਫੌਜ ਨੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ 10 ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਸ਼ਰਵਣ ਸਿੰਘ (Sharvan Singh) ਦੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਖਰਚਾ ਚੁੱਕੇਗੀ, ਜਿਸਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਦੂਰ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸੈਨਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੋਜਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ। ਸ਼ਰਵਣ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਤਾਰੇ ਵਾਲੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਸੈਨਿਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਸ਼ਵਣ ਨੇ ਸੈਨਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ, ਬਰਫ਼, ਚਾਹ, ਦੁੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਲੱਸੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਤਪਦੀ ਗਰਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਫੌਜ ਨਾਲ ਗੋਲੀਬਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁੱਝੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਬੱਚੇ ਦੀ ਹਿੰਮਤ ਅਤੇ ਜਜ਼ਬੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਭਾਰਤੀ ਫੌਜ ਦੇ ਗੋਲਡਨ ਐਰੋ ਡਿਵੀਜ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਰਵਣ ਦੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਦਾ ਖਰਚਾ ਚੁੱਕੇਗੀ।
