ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਦੇ PM ਜਸਟਿਨ ਟਰੂਡੋ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਸਤੀਫਾ
ਓਟਾਵਾ, 7 ਜਨਵਰੀ 2025 – ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਜਸਟਿਨ ਟਰੂਡੋ ਨੇ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਦੀ ਲਿਬਰਲ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਨੇਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੇ ਅਹੁਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਅਸਤੀਫਾ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਸਤੀਫ਼ੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਈ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਅਟਕਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਹਲਚਲ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ।ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੇ ਅਸਤੀਫ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਇਰਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਵੀਕਐਂਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਲੋਬ ਐਂਡ ਮੇਲ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਧਮਾਕੇਦਾਰ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਟਰੂਡੋ ਨੇ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਓਟਾਵਾ ਦੇ ਰਿਡੋ ਹਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਉਡੀਕੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਘੋਸ਼ਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਗਵਰਨਰ ਜਨਰਲ ਮੈਰੀ ਸਾਈਮਨ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਸਦ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ 24 ਮਾਰਚ ਤੱਕ ਮੁਲਤਵੀ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ।ਜਸਟਿਨ ਟਰੂਡੋ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਲਿਬਰਲ ਲੀਡਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਸਤੀਫਾ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਨਵੇਂ ਲੀਡਰ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਹੋਣ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਲੀਡਰ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬਣੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ। ਪਾਰਲੀਮੈਂਟ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ 24 ਮਾਰਚ ਤੱਕ ਰੋਕਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਗਵਰਨਰ ਜਨਰਲ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਲ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਭਾਵ ਹੁਣ ਉਨੀਂ ਦੇਰ ਉਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਬੇਭਰੋਸਗੀ ਮਤੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਲਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕੇਗਾ, ਆਮ ਜਨਰਲ ਫੈਡਰਲ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2025 ਚ ਹੋਣੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
