ਕਾਂਗਰਸੀ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਰਾਣਾ ਗੁਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਪ ਚੋਣ ‘ਚ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੀ ਇਕ ਫੈਕਟਰ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਵਾਰਿਸ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਜਾਂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਮਿਲਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ‘ਤੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਮੰਥਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ।
