ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ, 26 ਜੁਲਾਈ 2025 – ਪਿੰਡ ਕਰਮਿੱਤੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਵਿਆਹੁਤਾ ਨੇ ਸਹੁਰੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਈ ਅਣਬਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪਿੰਡ ਘੱਲਖੁਰਦ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਡੇਢ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਸਣੇ ਨਹਿਰ ਵਿਚ ਛਾਲ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਹੱਤਿਆ ਕਰ ਲਈ। ਥਾਣਾ ਘੱਲ ਖੁਰਦ ਦੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਮਾਂ-ਬੱਚੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੋਸਟਮਾਰਟਮ ਲਈ ਫਰੀਦਕੋਟ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਕਾਲਜ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਮਰਹੂਮ ਸਰਬਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਪਤਨੀ ਪਤੀ ਸੇਵਕ ਸਿੰਘ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਪਿੰਡ ਕਰਮਿੱਤੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਦੀ ਵਾਸੀ ਸੀ, ਵੀਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੁਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਸੇ ਗੱਲ ’ਤੇ ਝਗੜੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਆਪਣੇ ਡੇਢ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਤਾ-ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਘਰ, ਪਿੰਡ ਭਾਂਗਰ, ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਜਾਣ ਦਾ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਘਰੋਂ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਘੱਲਖੁਰਦ ਨੇੜੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਸਣੇ ਨਹਿਰ ਵਿਚ ਛਾਲ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਖੁਦਕੁਸ਼ੀ ਕਰ ਲਈ। ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਲੰਘ ਰਹੇ ਇਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਅਸਫਲ ਰਿਹਾ। ਕਾਫੀ ਮੁਸ਼ੱਕਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਨਹਿਰ ’ਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਲਈਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ। ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਥਾਣਾ ਘੱਲਖੁਰਦ ਦੇ ਏਐੱਸਆਈ ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪੋਸਟਮਾਰਟਮ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਲਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਿਆਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
