Ambedkar Jayanti : ਅੰਬੇਦਕਰ ਜਯੰਤੀ ‘ਤੇ ਜਾਣੋ ਬਾਬਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀਆਂ 10 ਅਣਸੁਣੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਣਕਹੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ
ਅੱਜ, 14 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ ਦੇਸ਼ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਖਾਸ ਦਿਨ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਬਾਬਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਡਾ. ਭੀਮ ਰਾਓ ਅੰਬੇਦਕਰ ਦੀ 135ਵੀਂ ਜਯੰਤੀ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਦੇਈਏ ਕਿ ਬਾਬਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ 14 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ 1891 ਨੂੰ ਮੱਧ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਮਹੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਅੰਬੇਦਕਰ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪੜ੍ਹੇ-ਲਿਖੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸਨ। ਡਾ. ਭੀਮ ਰਾਓ ਅੰਬੇਦਕਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਛੂਤ-ਛਾਤ ਅਤੇ ਗਰੀਬੀ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਆਪਣੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖੀ।
ਆਓ ਅੱਜ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਨਮਦਿਨ ‘ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀਆਂ 10 ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਣਕਹੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ –
1 – ਡਾ: ਭੀਮ ਰਾਓ ਅੰਬੇਦਕਰ ਦਾ ਅਸਲੀ ਉਪਨਾਮ ਅੰਬੇਦਕਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਸਲੀ ਉਪਨਾਮ ਅੰਬਾਵਾਡੇਕਰ ਸੀ, ਇਹ ਨਾਮ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ, ਫਿਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਪਨਾਮ ਅੰਬੇਦਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
2 – ਬਾਬਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੁੱਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਕਈ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੁੱਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਗਬਾਨੀ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਸ਼ੌਕ ਸੀ।
3 – ਬਾਬਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ੌਕ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਸੀ। ਇੱਕ ਲੇਖਕ ਜੌਨ ਗੁੰਥਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਇਨਸਾਈਡ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ 1938 ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਬਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕੋਲ 8000 ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਸਨ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵੱਧ ਕੇ 35000 ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ।
4 – ਬਾਬਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਮਹਾਰ ਜਾਤੀ (ਦਲਿਤ) ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਅਛੂਤ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਬ੍ਰਿਟਿਸ਼ ਈਸਟ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਕੰਪਨੀ ਦੀ ਫੌਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਵੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਟਿਸ਼ ਫੌਜ ਦੇ ਮਹੂ ਛਾਉਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੂਬੇਦਾਰ ਸਨ।
5 – ਬਾਬਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਦੇ 14ਵੇਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਰੀ ਬੱਚੇ ਸਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 15 ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਰਾਮਾਬਾਈ 9 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਸੀ। ਨਾਲ ਹੀ, ਉਹ 14 ਭੈਣ-ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇਕਲੌਤੇ ਸਨ ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ।
6 – ਅੰਬੇਦਕਰ ਨੇ 1907 ਵਿੱਚ ਦਸਵੀਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ਪਾਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਐਲਫਿਨਸਟਨ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲਾ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ। ਉਹ ਇਸ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲਾ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਦਲਿਤ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, 1912 ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਸਨੇ ਬੰਬੇ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਅਰਥ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿਗਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ।
7 – ਬਾਬਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਕਲੌਤੇ ਸੱਤਿਆਗ੍ਰਹੀ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੀਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਲਈ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
8 – ਬਾਬਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਅਰਥ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੀਐਚਡੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਬਾਬਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਪਛੜੇ ਵਰਗ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਵਕੀਲ ਸਨ।
9 – ਬਾਬਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਇੰਨੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਦੇਸ਼ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਯੋਗਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਖਰੜਾ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦਾ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
10 – ਭੀਮ ਰਾਓ ਅੰਬੇਦਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਬਾਬਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੇ 1952 ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਬੇ ਨੌਰਥ ਸੀਟ ਤੋਂ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਆਮ ਚੋਣ ਲੜੀ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਹਾਰ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਦੋ ਵਾਰ ਰਾਜ ਸਭਾ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਰਹੇ।
